History

Enoteca Millevini was founded in 2001, when sommelier Lorenzo Menegus and Venetian businessman Giorgio Turchetto met. Their goal was to create a place in the heart of Venice where passion, expertise and tradition would mingle.

The wine shop is located right next to the Rialto Bridge, where there used to be a restaurant. It is immediately noticeable because of its great variety of wines and other products and its distinctive way of displaying them.

Chosen according to gastronomic principles, Millevini offers a wide selection of Italian and French wines, fermented wines, natural wines, balsamic vinegar, grappa, rum, whisky, gin and other liquors, and, according to the time of year, chocolate, Christmas and Easter desserts, pasta, sauces and much more.

No one in Venice can rival Lorenzo’s experience and expertise. For anyone seeking advice on wine tasting and pairing, or looking for new products, he is the person to ask. Thanks to Lorenzo’s passion for small wineries, French wines and, above all, excellent products, Millevini has brought together an interesting and comprehensive collection of top-quality items.

No other wine shop in Venice can compare to its diverse selection of French wines, especially champagne. Some of these products are extremely rare, such as the legendary Plenitude by Dom Perignon, Clos d’Ambonnait by Krug, and D.R.C. Latache.

Millevini also owns a wide selection of the most famous Italian wines, such as the “super Tuscan” Sassicaia, Masseto and Solaia, Amarone by Quintarelli and Dal Forno, Barolo Monfortino and many more.
